Looks like it's been taken off or sold Steve, SRX with XT350 motor, looked quite nice.

Aye Steve,

An SRX 250 with an XT350 motor installed and everything else kept pretty much 'standard' and tidy, with a white paint job, with a red stripe down the dorsal central line of the machine.

It was located in Alston, Cumbria, which shares with Buxton the accolade of being "The highest market town in England". Bonny spot up in the Pennines that I used to visit regularly with the Duke 450 in the mid '70's when at college in Penrith. The A686 up to Hartside and into Alston was always 'busy' at the weekend, but out to the North and East of the town the Pennine grouse moors were yours on your own and mid-week was sublime!  ;D These days I believe they commit seppuku whilst trying to 'race' to the Hartside Cafe, which at the time of my journeys was a ruin like a concrete pillbox with no windows and burnt out cars taken up there by the 'joy riders'.  >:(

My regards, Bill

Other place to stop on that road (the best toad in England) is the cafe on the platform of the steam railway at Alston. Run by ladies from another age who think everything should cost very little! AND you can have a nose in the wee museum (Engine Shed) at same time. We once turned up on our 70s Brit stuff and they GAVE US various decals they had spare!!!
XBR500,  FT500 (USA reg still but now starts/runs nicely!)
non-thumpers CX500EC, NTV650P
