Returning to the fold
« on: May 29, 2015, 06:06:44 PM »
Hi guys, its been a while...

But I'm off my V-twin and back on a thumper so feel I can come back to the fold. Seems I've gone and bought a Tenere. :)

Chuffed me.

Hi Pat, welcome back!

I was only wondering the other day where some of the old 'crew' had got to.  Good to see you've come back to the true path of thumperdom!

Good to hear that you are returning to the One True Way.

I too, wandered from the One True Path last year and had a V twin for a while, but I recanted, and I'm now back on the Single Path To Fulfillment......

Cheers guys, glad to be here. Haven't posted over the last few days as I was in Edinburgh running the marathon. Boy done good, but knackered now.

... And I can't stop to chat now either as I'm off to pick up the XT  ;D

First impressions report to follow...

Oooh That's fun.  ;D

Not as quick as the DL and not as comfy on the arse, but sooo much more of a larf. I have to be nice to the motor for the first 600 miles, but even under 4.5k she likes to pull herself along. I forgot how light and flickable bikes can be. I think I'm going to like this bike.

Have you gone for  new one?     ABS? (Eugh) Battery under the tank, what's that all about, 'cos the compressor is where the battery should be. :o

C/mon Pat, lets have some pics.

Nope, mine's a 2013 model being sold off cheap to clear a way for the new ones. ABS... hated it on the DL and how's that supposed to work on a bike that's [supposed to be] built for crossing deserts/moorland/broken ground??

Will try to do pics but this site is really hard unless you have an account with someone like photbucket... and I don't.
