I bought a new sleeping bag last Thursday to replace my warm but bulky 80s Vango. The new one packs down to about half the size of the old one and is possibly even warmer.
Vango on left, new bag on rightAnyway, the old bag is on on Ebay (See
HERE) with a 99p start price if anyone is interested. I'd compare it in warmth (and size) to an army bag.
The new bag is a Mountain Hardwear
Lamina 0 and it's luurvely

it has an EN T-limit rating (comfortable temp rating for a standard male) of -12.
This is all part of my campaign to simplify my life. Now I can sell off two or three of my other bags and just use this one, it's warm enough for the Dragon, but only the same pack size as my 2-season bag.
In another bid to simplify my camping experience I bought a little compartment storage box today for all my camping cooking ingredients, lighters, matches and cutlery, in an attempt to not have endless little plastic boxes and bags to pack away at the end of every trip.

The film cannister contains oregano (of course)
