Interesting XBR on ebay

It's had a few mods, cooler, filter, alloy box section s/a low miles.  Could be a good little bike.

There was a guy at Dent the other year with exactly the same thing on his XBR.  Not sure who made them, probably an 80's accessory when they first came out as I can't ever remember seeing ally s/a's for XBR's advertised. It was a really nicely made piece of kit, looked really trick, but I can't see a lot of point other than looks as there's nothing wrong with the original XBR S/a as far as I know.  Maybe the shorten wheelbase would sharpen up the handling a bit?

The swing arm might be a quality bit of kit but it doesn't do much for the look of the bike, looks like its had a rear end shunt. Bugger the quicker steering he needs to get the standard arm back on.

Agreed, there's nothing wrong with the standard swinging arm. It's as stiff as it needs to be. I don't see the point of making one item way stiffer than the other components of the chassis. A super stiff arm won't cure any flex in the frame or forks.

And, by goodness, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the XBR's handling anyway.
