I had quite a good weekend all in all.
Saturday was fairly relaxed and in the late afternoon I mooched over to my friend Andy's farm. We set off in his Landy to deliver some supplies to another cider maker (Andy has branched out into cider making) and on the return trip we visited three pubs, each about ten miles apart. The scary thing was, he knew his way around the first pub (miles from where he lives) and in the other two they knew him by name.

We were back at his farm by 9.00 and he cooked up a storm and we drank beer and talked nonsense until the early hours.
I had an early start on Sunday to get back to the house in time for wifey to go to work. It was a quiet day with some visitors, but in the early evening I got a call asking for some assistance in setting up a sidecar on my mate's XS1100. After a tussle with the toe-in we thought it should be test ridden. It was too light with just the sidecar chassis to ride safely so Rob put a plank across the rails and sat on that as ballast. All went well until we made a sharp left hand turn and the diagonal struts gave up the ghost. The bike leaned out and stayed out. We pushed it back to his workshop and he made plans to get the struts altered. It probably should have been a scary moment, but we we ended up laughing our heads off.
Tonight is a quiet night and I watched the final episode in this series of Gavin and Stacey... bloody marvellous telly. Anyone else watching it?
Cheers
