Royal Enfield, Redditch

Apparently RE have a bit of a show on at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre in Redditch for six weeks from 1st of June. It is the launch of a new model of the trials bullet  :)

Sadly I'm working or I would have come along to see the new trials bike. I think Johnny Brittain's bikes were some of the prettiest trials bikes of the era, however I think RE have done a poor job at a 'replica'. Sure they have the frame colour right and the tank looks good but they should have got rid of the casquette to make the front look lighter. Also from the pictures I've seen the front wheel looks to be a 19inch rather than 21.

As my school reports always said 'must try harder'.

Hi Tim, I've just spoken to Martin and we should be able to join you, what time are you leaving your house?...as it's on the way for us.
Dave.

Excellent Dave. I missed a call from Mart earlier. Im planning on leaving at 9am. Bromsgrove about an hour from me. Lets meet at the Riders Cafe, Quatt, a couple of miles outside Bridgnorth on the Kidderminster Road, for a cuppa if its open  :)

Weather not great this week, but it looks like it may be ok for Thursday. Dave and Mart are keen to go to the National Motorcycle Museum after Redditch, rather than Gayden. I'm easy either way, as I want to visit both at some stage anyway  ;)

Yeah, I'm easy too. Been to the National Motorcycle Museum quite a few times before but it's always worth another visit...

Trip cancelled due to adverse weather, and the fact that we are all big girls blouses  ;D
What about next Monday instead?

That is the plan Dave. The cafe is open for breakfast from 8am, so we will have a spot of breakfast at 9, and then leave there about 9.30. Then on to Bromsgrove for before 10.30 at the railway station. Then Redditch, then probably NMM for 12 noon at the latest  :)

Sounds good...it finally stopped raining this morning, although I did get out cycling Wednesday evening without getting wet....wonderful.
