Oil pump
« on: January 08, 2019, 10:33:03 PM »
Think i need your help Bill...... just been into Tinklers, having bitten the bullet, with cheque book in hand to buy an oil pump for #1, after much mumblings about superseded part numbers,  correct part number is now 99999-01858-00 and shows as an 'oil pump kit'
and at £206 the kit must surely include the rest of the engine !!!!
now desperately looking for NOS .... and rechecking existing pumps to asses 'do i really need to change'  >:(

on the plus side.... the oil pump 'O'  rings are available ...  been unavailable for ages.... so bought half a dozen.

Aye Steve,

Glow-worms in the jam jar tonight!  ;)

I dug out an SRX600 1JK motor oil pump and the one from the XT600E 3TB motor oil pump in the Mono and made some comparisons.

SRX600 1JK motor:
A = 12.7mm depth of pump outer case
B = 10.9mm overall shaft diameter
C = 46.9mm overall diameter of pump inner case
D = 56.5mm overall shaft length

XT600E 3TB motor:
A = 14.8mm depth of pump outer case
B = 10.9mm overall shaft diameter
C = 46.9mm overall diameter of pump inner case
D = 58.7mm overall shaft length

These measurements were taken using a "Very near" caliper and I think that the pumps are the same apart from the increased depth of the outer casing by 2mm and the increased length of the shaft by the same 2mm. To my knowledge the 3AJ pump is the increased capacity that Slipstream Tuning fitted in their SRX600 race motors. However, this must be checked with Martin Sweet of Slipstream, before purchasing a 3AJ oil pump to fit into a 1JK 600 engine!

Contact for Slipstream Tuning is: Slipstream_Tuning_contact

When I purchased my replacement 3AJ oil pump, part number: 9999902120 Oil pump set (included nylon drive gear) in 2017, the price excluding P&P and VAT@20% was £110.95.

I attach images to help explain. All of the fixing hole dimensions and positions appear identical.

I hope this helps.

My regards, Bill

P.S. If SteveH wishes to take images for SRX600 website that is fine.  ;)

thanks for that Bill, as far as i'm aware, that is the pump of choice now for all SRX600, XT type engines, as it has a higher capacity throughput.
i will check the measurements against the one i have removed, but i'm pretty sure that's the one Denver m/c's fitted for me 7 or 8 years ago, and the one they used on all their road/race machinery, though at that point it had a different part number.

fowlers show it at a far more reasonable £149.06 incl.

will keep you posted,
