we have to get a new roof fitted this year

Hopefully not because storm Eunice or Franklin blew it off I hope. It got a bit worrying where we are. Brought the full gable end of a house down locally, flattening two cars. Luckily no one was walking past at the time

No its not because of the recent storms, the roof is getting old and the liner is in tatters and there are a few loose tiles, so it needs to be repaired, we worry at every storm, we are only about a mile from the sea and it always hits the house hard. unfortunately the house needs doing before the bikes
There is not too much left to buy for the YB100, rear brake shoes, tyres and inner tubes a chain and sprocket set and the silencer and downpipe. I may also buy front and rear mudguards as the ones on it have a few rust spots

You have my sympathy Joolz I’m all to aware of having to put the house build before the bike build. Having just spent the last 3 and a half years building our place my XBR tracker project has hardly been touched. Almost there with the house now though, so hopefully can start to devote a bit more time on the bike. 🤞

Yes, think the only slight plus point to the rise in petrol prices is that the roads may be slightly quieter.
