yes, it was, i say was, because it is no longer.
ive had sidecars as long as ive had solos, that was the mudguard of a watsonian oxford that was hung off the side of a goldwing which i had up till selling it last monday. my next outfit is going to be a long low suzuki katana with an unusual sidecar which is going to be made from the C***pit section of an all aluminium glider(yes glider as in engineless aeroplane) which ive aquired. itss till in the planniong stage, but thats a subject for a different forum!!
beesa cam out of the factory fitted to a sidecar, which i pulled till about 7 years ago, hence it never had asidestand fitted. the one on it is pretty feeble and useless, sothe bike tends to be leaned up against stuff to be safe.
though it looks a shed, its actually pretty hi tech for an old brit!
inside the battery casing, lurks a modern gel battery, the voltage is regulated by an electronic regulator, the tail light is an led unit, and it has a halogen headlamp, the engine is sparked by an electronic ignition unit cunningly secreted inside the old magneto casing. as i had a run of duff magnetos some years back and decided in a fit of annoyance one day to just bin the magneto and get it modernised.
