Find It, Fix It, Drive It
« on: March 28, 2019, 11:56:43 AM »
Tried watching the new Henry Cole show on More 4, but as well as being annoyed by Cole, they have managed to use a voice over woman who has possibly the most irritating whine I have ever heard.

Some, all of who's names must naturally remain protected, may contest "woman who has possibly most irritating whine I have ever heard".

I watched, and listened, so understand entirely! Like the previous HC productions I think it is the tips that come from Sam that are so useful. I had HC's (auto)biography for Chrimbo and which I found interesting, albeit a tad self indulgent in places, as it gave (for me) the background to the presentation style portrayed as well as an insight into Sam's technical prowess.

Having watched the chopper build I'm wondering if a set of those forks will suit the XBR.... :)

Regards, Clive.

Personally I don't mind HC... ok, ok. He may not be the greatest engineer in town but he doesn't profess to be and let's be honest as good as Sam is with the oil n spanners he ain't no natural born tv presenter. Then again he don't profess to be. The shows kindda need the two of them together to truly work, chemistry I think it's called. Plus good old HC clearly does (or certainly appears) to have a genuine love of all things two wheeled, so MORE HC I say. If it means we get more bike related programs on the ol goggle box I'm more than happy to put up with him. Go Henry, go Henry yah, yah, yah, 😁😁👍🤘

I understand the authenticity thing and the paint job on the chop was amazing, but I actually much preferred the chop as it was when they got their hands on it. Looking forward to the episode where they do up a Dnepr, but still find that woman's voice hard to listen to.

Thanks for the tip, Steve. I didn't know this was on. I'm cool with Cole  8)
