Aye Rufus, I am no the best and probably would loose the purchase, but £750 - £1,200 would be plenty. How a C15 is fetching more dosh than a capable 500cc XBR or Yamaha 600cc single, does make I wonder! :o

Make your offer and if it receives an acceptance, excellent. If it is rejected, either proffer a small increase or walk, leaving your contact details with the cash offer in place for a week.

My regards, Bill

C15s weren't the finest bikes ever to come out of Small Heath. I'd be with Bill and make a silly low offer then you could sell it on.......

Hi Rufus, I would aim for £800 or there abouts. Thats what I paid for one a couple of years back, and I easily sold it for £1400 a year later, if that gives you any ideas. To be honest, they are pretty rubbish bikes  ;)

I ran one in the late 70's as a second bike to my GS thou and it was brilliant!Think i paid about £50 for it.  Years later (the year they postponed the Stafford Show due to the foot and mouth crisis whenever that was) i bought a similar C15 from a dealer for about £800. Sorry no idea of prices now but i always liked them but no not up to an XBR.

Looking at this web-site, C15 prices seem to range from £1200 to beyond £2000 ?? I suppose it depends on condition and if it runs etc? Try a low offer, you could always go up ?   ;)

His starting price is £1200, i would hope to get it (if i get it) for a bit less, we will see,  thanks everyone

i had a 1966 model a couple of years ago, it was great, quick, reliable and easy to handle, another bike i should have hung on to....

theyre a nice thing when theyre right but have a couple of very well known achilles heels that really need fettlingin order to make them reliable enough for regular use. but theyre a good entry level brit for those who dont want to kick off with a two stroke, plus the pre65 and race series is hoovering up bantams at a fair old rate now and prices are spiralling upwards now making the c15 probably the cheaper brit entry level bike. but dont spend more than 750 1000 quid for one because you can quickly spend a lot of money on the small things. i see them for sale on ebay as projects quite frequently for 500 quid upwards.
having said that, there is a lot that you can do to them if youre that way inclined, but be careful of over restoring it or else you will find that theyre a money pit.
