« on: April 17, 2007, 11:20:14 AM »
A few years ago Honda released a 50cc bike made to look like a 60's racer - silver long tank etc any one remember what it was called?

Thanks

If not, honda did a more roadbikey version with a single seat with hump etc and tiny clipons, called the cb50jx.
I remember my sister had one as her first bike and I liked the seat...

The Dream 50R looks like theone - so I guess the more roady one should be it.

Oh didn't they tell you - you are not supposed to covert thy sisters seat...

it was the dream 50  .... single cylinder dohc ... twin exhaust ...restricted 30mph....unrestrictet stage1..40mph stage two with special cdi unit ...~50mph .....race tuned with parts from takegawa (other cams, head , bore up kit 90cc bigger manifold an carb ,special exhaust, 6 speed gearbox , nos kit  , full fairing ) over 80mph , downside the parts alone add up to about ~£2500 but then it`s aproper race replica
and you will be very lucky to get a used one for under £2000 no matter what condition

but by the look of it you could get the tank and seat and rear light and front light and clip ons , possibly the half fairing to fit on your cg :-)

ASTONISHING! The C100 pushrod 50 would cruise at 45mph all day; the C110 pushrod 50 would cruise at 50mph. So what are all those overhead cams and flashy bits doing—just sitting there looking pretty? Honda's really gone downhill.

Mmm nice idea - £248.99 for the tank - making it worth mmm about £240 more than te CG...

Would look pretty mind - apart from the footrest positiion.

Right, there's your challenge. Make your CG look like that Dream in two months or we will have you paraded in front of the club and your epaulettes and buttons will be snipped off your TC uniform jacket.

I'll get my (dress) coat :)

Do you remember that 80s chopper where the bloke had moulded the tank and saddle to look like he was sitting on a naked woman?

But I'm guessing that's not what you meant :)

Was two I remember - one of a woman reclining - and one with her kneeling - arms were the front forks and the swing arm such as it was pivoted about her knees.  Not sure The Boss would approve - mind she did buy me a big picture of a naked woman for my 40th

But no - thinking something more akin to the CB50 or maybe even a SS50 tank would do.  There were a load of Honda 125s at the Classic racing with just the right tank but every time I took one off I was aprehended and made to return it.
