Enfield sisal and hemp rope could be of reasonable quality, we exported all of the machinery when Dundee was cleaned out in the enigmatic rush for the "digital economy" and now the equally enigmatic "green economy"!
Hopefully, if they have changed to using copper and brass, it will be of good quality, all that recycled Brum copper and brass that went out to keep the pre '48 infrastructure running!

Enjoy the new steed and with it's low seat height, at least you can keep it moving like a velocipede when the rope burns out!

My problem with Sally is that ubquitous plastic sleeved "crimp connector" that never quite crimps sufficiently or corrodes at the back of the tinned joint!

The solution appears to be tinned thin walled cable and "Japanese" type connectors or German multi-connectors.
Having read some more about Motogadget, it appears to heighten the 'electrickery' and bury it within the structure of the motorcycle. making a right phaff to install, fault find and repair. As for having a "Bluetooth" facility,

it just means that some nerd can not only shout out "Clarrisa! Turn the bank taps on or off.", but also "Clarrisa! Start the bike." and off they jolly well go! Maybe Enfield and other manufacturers should return to the old British security devices of a magneto, with advance and retard, a high compression ratio, iffy points and spark plugs, priming the carburettor and a kickback like a mule that all appear to have been superceded, even on the proposed new velocipede!

My regards, Bill
