A good Manx man

Sadly, a fellow plumber by trade and TT rider Dan Kneen was tragically killed in this evenings TT practice. Devastated.  :( :(

Aye Steve, very sorry to read this, just in from the workshop. Mike Kneen and Dave Broadhead were the two local protagonists, when I was a "Come over" and I suspect Mike is related. It was "in the blood" then and still is and Dan knew exactly what was involved, especially after his Rhencullen 2 incident in the 2011 Senior. Dan's passing will be no easier to bear for that and I hope that you and his family are able to come to terms with it.

My regards, Bill

Sad, sad news indeed. As Tony Jefferies said when Dave Jefferies died, "he probably didn't die with a smile on his face, but at least he died doing what he loved the most"
hopefully the kneen family can find some comfort in something similar. May he RIP

I do enjoy the TT, but it comes with a hefty bill for some families.

Very sad news.
Note to Self: Shiney side goes UP.

I never quite know what to say or how to show my sadness on days like this , I've seen too many friends and aquaintances die young but they all had one thing in common there love of motorcycle racing . They chose to race not for money or stardom but because of the thrill of pushing man and machine to the limit , we never really thought of the consequences when it went wrong but that was the choice we made.
A sad day indeed RIP Dan.
