I'm not sure about the "cruise controls" on the left-hand clipon, but I imagine this would get your juices flowing!  ::)  ;)

Have a good holiday, where ever you may be or doing.

truly hideous. its a gsxr1000 with a katana tank and fairing, there the similarity ends.

theres a complete 750 on ebay at the moment for 1400 quid, which is pretty cheap cos its got all thee bodywork and hard to source bits with it, all you neeed theen is an 1100 engine.

theres also one for sale in the owners club thats eveen more complete with even the stock pipes on it, and he wants 800 quid for it, but its for sale only to club members. i guess it pays to be a member of an owners club if youre after something rare.

My apologies to John and Tommy.  :-[   My comment "I imagine this would get your juices flowing!" is obviously incorrect, from your comments, so I shall return to the workhouse and continue to remove encrusted fuel corrosion from carb orifices, whilst swallows try to take over the starlings nest box with young inside!  ???  Ear plugs required.

A lovely looking machine Bill. The original katana design was so intrinsically "right" it doesn't date. Or derivatives thereof.

Speaking of which, what do you think of the auto fabrica xsr? In silver it looks great. I just watched a live stream of the bike shed show and the gadger did a walk around of this bike. It looks even better than the photos. Cheers.

Thanks for the link Bill which triggered deaply buried memories of my youthful "Miami Vice" days, when, not being interested in cars, I thought my espadrilles would look good on a pearly white Katana 750 because it had a pop-up headlight!

Memories of being at the Bike Show in Earls Court when one of the early Katanas was released - might have been the 550 - and loving it.

Mind you back then I also thought the Superdream looked good, and a black leather jacket with huge red shoulder pads.
Note to Self: Shiney side goes UP.

Amazing, that in 2018, a Kat still looks futuristic! An absolute design icon  :)

I too also like it 🤘🤘.... personally I prefer the "sanctuary" take on the katana, but hey there's room for any Kat in my book, which like most of you have already said. Shows just how timeless the original design was 👍👍
Cheers, Michael
