Bad news

Hello all

I'm afraid I've got some bad news to tell you about.

On Monday 9th April, my wife Sue passed away following a short battle with cervical cancer. I hope some of you will remember Sue from the rally in Llanfairfechan in 2016, where we celebrated our ruby wedding. She also accompanied me to Cwmdu a couple of times.

I know she would have liked to have a bike or two at the funeral, and I would love for some of you to join the cortège if any of you are available. I will post again here when the arrangements have been made.

We are based in NE Derbyshire, near to junction 28 of the M1. I hope to see some of you soon.

What can I say? I met Sue on a few occasions...I too am deeply shocked. You have my number if you just need a talk or someone to shout at.
I wil try and get there for the funeral once you know details.

I never met Sue but cancer is a terrible thing and you have my deepest sympathy Trevor.

I have a friend at my local Bike Club who is suffering from terminal cervical cancer and it's a horrible merciless disease.

I can't imagine what you're going through and you have my deepest most heart-felt sympathy. I will get to the funeral and just hope it gives you some small comfort for some bikes to be there.

Sad news Trevor...the first time we met Sue was at Wetton Mill, when we were passing and stopped there for a cuppa and then at various bike meets since.
We'll try and get to the funeral, but next Wednesday we're off to meet Tim in NI and then stopping over there for a week.

Please accept my condolences at your loss. Whilst I have never met either you or your wife, I hope the metaphorical 'hug' and blether on here helps you get through the days. If possible, take it step by step, even if they are small steps. I am sorry that I will be unable to attend the funeral, but will pause, once I know the time and date.
