One of the iconic old thumpers and I love 'em but not at this price! I wonder will the bubble burst before too long?

There were built in cleckhuddersfax 😁😁 (cleckheaton)  not far from where I grew up as a lad in sunny 🤣🤣🤣🤣..Bradford...This one is in Accrington which by sheer coincidence is just down the road from where I now reside in Barrowford in sunny Lancashire. Might have drive over and have a look at it...once it stops bloody snowing..AGAIN 🌨☃️
Cheers, Michael

yet another pisstaker who thinks that anything old is worth a phone number price. he has yet to realise that asking 14 grand and getting 14 grand aree two entirely different things. theres plenty of overpriced stuff out in the classic world, but you dont ofteen see stuff thats priced at more than twice what its actually worth. if he keeps that pricetag on it i expect it will remain welded to his showroom floor for the next decade.

It's a dreamy dreamland price for sure. I remember back when Panthers were rejected by most motorcyclists because they were slow and heavy. Owning a Panther put you firmly in the eccentric category and usually meant you wore an open face helmet and a long mac. The Panther Owners Club were stalwart supporters of the Dragon for many years, but between them they wouldn't have 14 grands worth of machinery.

It's such a pity that lovely old bikes like that one are being priced out of the reach of genuine enthusiasts and driven into the garages of investors. If I had 14 grand spare I'd buy it, put on my long mac and thump it round in all weathers just like Josiah Phelan intended for it!

Strange, the Panther is one make that's never done anything for me.

When I rode in the Midlands Classic Club trials, Mick Worthy used a 350 Panther he'd painted pink. I don't think he'd have asked £14K for it......

Oh dear... I have obviously been selling my bikes far too cheaply in the past.... I need a rethink.

The POC are still going strong, and run a scheme whereby more elderly members lend out their bikes to young fellas and girls, to ride. So the bikes get used, and youngsters who can't afford them get to use and look after them. A good rigid M100 is near the ten grand mark, so this one is certainly expensive  ;)
