Have a look on Done Deal, in the Vintage Bike section (Irish for sale site). Some lovely wee thumpers being brought in from Japan. Not wee prices though 😉

Lovely looking little GB250 there Tim, they certainly have the pick of the crop over in Japan and keep the pretty stuff for themselves  ;) ;) 8)

japans licensing system is so complex and expensive that many riders dont bother to go above a 400cc licence, hence the manufacturers build some scrumptious 250 and 400cc (and tbh 50cc, 125cc 200, 300 etc etc) bikes for their domestic market. these trickle through to us and other non japanese markets and are the reason we got the stunning little imports like the katana 250 and 400, the nc30, the zxr400 and lets not forget that whilst we got stuff like the rg500 and thought we were the bees knees, anyone in the same era who ever saw an nsr250 realised who it was who really got the trick stuff.

ive mentioned it on here a couple of times before, but have a look on Goobikes. its a Japanese site listing all the second hand bikes for sale in Japan, by model, and region, with good pictures. the number of models of 250 and 400 is mind blowing. Plus theres even some Katanas big and small  :)
