I was thinking of installing a TapaTalk plugin which would provide access to the forum via your mobile. You would need to install the app and there are the usual ads, would anyone find this useful ?

I tried TapaTalk on my phone a couple of years ago Steve, and found it next to useless. I can't remember why I found it useless though, and of course it's probably been improved by now.

Having said that, I just access the forum via the browser on my phone and tablet - no problem....

What's the operating system equivalent of an XBR? Maybe we should convert to that? Answers on a post card to....

I find tapa talk ok especially for posting photo's etc no messing about with photo bucket or the like . ;

I wouldn't mind not using photobucket again. Is there any photo file size restriction with Tapatalk? I suppose it's down to the degree of advertising saturation and whether it gets in the way?

Thank you for taking the time to update the site.

As for the Tapatalk?    I just access the web on a desktop, the mobile is a phone and nowt else. So, as long as Tapatalk doesn't snarl up a perfectly serviceable forum or flood us with Trojans, I have no opinion.

I'm no techno buff but as far as I can tell there is no photo file on tapa talk you just upload photo from your phone/iPad etc 's gallery. The only thing you need to do is choose the size/definition don't go big as this can cause problems.

I succeeded in getting a photo on here after iansoady suggested using the photo editor app to adjust photo file size. It worked . Bit of a frig tho if I'm honest. In future if I feel the need I'll go via Facebook.  Photo issues aside this is a great site. Gents one and all. (Can't say gentlemen these days, not pc see)

Yes, thanks Steve for doing the techy stuff. Haven't a clue what tapatalk is. Just use a tablet, and my phone is just a phone

Yes I'm in the timbo camp, although I've just been very kindly given/upgraded with my phone by voda wotsit. Apparently I'm an extremely valued customer (only because I never shop round so no my phone isn't just a phone now it's also the tardis apparently  I only usually come on via my I pad and as far as photos are concerned.......that's easy...... I send them to Matt who very kindly pops them on for me. Couldn't be any easier📸
Thanks tho Steve for doing whatever it is you've done/doing without you folk the site in whatever format, probably wouldn't exist

I'n no teccie-don't even have a smart phone and only access this site from my pc at home or at work so i don't know what most of this thread is about....but can i just sat a BIG THANKS to the  organisors and to members as i find this probably one of the most friendly and unpretentious forums on the 'net

It's all good. I access this site via either my laptop (w7 pro), or ipad (whatever system Apple have given it) or my iphone (ditto op system), or my private phone (android) .   all work well... so no need for tapatalk..
