That sounds like fun.

I will be fitting a 2nd hand top box I got off ebay for £15. Then today and tomorrow I will be out on my bike enjoying Derbyshire lanes, tea stops and bacon rolls. I love Spring.

Went for a ride to the REOC jumble near Daventry on the Super Four and broke down (again!). But managed to restart. It cuts out when idling. I've taken everything to bits that I can think of and upped the tickover to the specified 1.300 (it was under 1,000 which can't have helped). Plugs clean, nice colour & properly gapped.

Leaving it to idle on the drive till warm it seemed fine if a little lumpy but the proof will be in the jam tart.

So I never got to the jumble which is a shame as I was looking forward to it.

I gave the ss-350 a bit of a clean, took tin side covers off and gave them a coat of matt black to freshen them up, then went to see an acquaintance who was working on his 1955 NSU Supermax, what a lovely motorcycle, i only went for a quick ride /visit but ended up doing about 40 miles just enjoying the sound of an open pipe single !!

I had a great spin on the Falcone with Rossco500 on his W650 to visit a guy who is selling all his bikes. Guzzi Lario 650, Guzzi SP750 Italian police bike, Cagiva Gran Canyon, Ducati 906 Paso, Ducati Monster750, MZ Scorpion Traveller, Norton Navigator, RE Crusader, BMW F800ST, Norton Jubilee project, Jawa 350 project. And finally an MZ Silver Star, which I would be mad not to buy  ;)
We then visited another fella with a mind blowing aray of stuff including a dozen LE Velocettes, and nine Douglases, not to mention all the military deactivated weapons  :)

Hi Tim. I`m guessing you`re going for the Silver Star? If not let me know. What price was on the Skorpion Traveller? Cheers, Steve.

Yes, I'm hoping to buy the Silver Star. He wanted to do a deal were I took the Scorpion Traveller as well. On its own he wants £1000 for it, but it is really rough condition. A real shocker! It would need a complete overhaul. Even at the £500 I could have had it for with the Silver Star, I'm not taking it  :-\

No worries, not for me then. If you change your mind on the Silver Star (doubt it) give us a shout. Cheers, Steve

A wee canter on Sally from Perthshire down through Fife over the Forth Bridge, with the new Queensferry crossing looking very bonnie and the crane on the north tower dismantled. Out through the west side of the Pentlands via Balerno, Carlops, down to Broughton and then west on the Beef Tub road down into Moffat for afternoon tea. Then back over via the Grey Mare's Tail and St Mary's Loch to the Crawford Arms and out over the top to Innerliethen for a fried fish; before returning via Peebles, the Bush Estate, Edinburgh and the Forth Bridge. Two hundred and thirty miles and the sunset coming home over the bridge was a real cracker.  ;D Deserted roads south of Edinburgh!  ;D ;D ;D

Good health to you all.

My regards, Bill

Now that sounds like a great spin out Bill. Our club Scottish wknd this year is over May 26th wknd, based in Gretna of all places. Wouldn't be my preferred choice, but I guess well have a good run out around the Borders  ;)
And Pete, the weather for your Mayflower Rally was ace, if, perhaps, a little chilly in the wee small hours. If I got a wknd like this for the Shepherds Rest, I'll be well chuffed  :)
