Yes, very touching. We have a family friend who suffers from dementia, such a sad, frustrating illness for all concerned.Brought a little lump to my throat.....top man.

Aye, my good friend Barry, who taught me how to spoke wheels last week, has to care full time for his wife, who has dementia. Extremely difficult and upsetting for him. I try to get him out and about on the few occasions that he has care cover.

it's the sort of story that inevitably get tucked away, which should be out there on major news/review programmes. what a great bloke, well spotted... how much better to read that, than all this bo**ocks about Trump!

Lovely, thanks for that. My mum has advanced dementia and would love him as she still retains a lifelong love of music. Watching someone you love sink further into dementia tears the bollocks out of you but there are little funny moments that you have to smile at.
Earlier this week I was visiting my mum at the home she lives in and asked her if she knew who I was. Straight away she said 'Wendy'. Wendy is my sister; I'm 5'10", 20 stones and have a long grey beard and am covered in tattoos. Wendy is 5'2", about 7 stones and looks like a librarian! Not a bad guess I suppose.
Anyway thanks for posting about someone doing some good just because he can.
