Much as I like pickled eggs, the advice is probably good anyway if you intend to spend any time in the company of other people.  :o

I just love the line "admitted to also having a couple of shandies". Yeah, right.....

Mmm. That might have had something to do with it. Though I love the idea of alcoholic pickled eggs, maybe with some pickled sour cabbage, and a couple of tins of baked beans. Just light the touch paper, and run  :D
