heated grips

I use the "Scooter" oxford heated grips - only two heat settings - warm and not so warm, but a nice reliable and compact switch and are cheaper and have less current draw than the posher oxford grips.

I used to get sets from New Zealand, designed for quad bikes, that went inside the handlebar.  Excellent bit of kit, but I haven't seen them advertised for a few years now.

They didn;t work with bar end mirrors, and like all heated grips not all grip glues liked them.

The best ones I've used are Daytona heated grips. Nice small switch, 4 heat settings and properly toasty.

Apparently the switch is the weak link on the Oxford grips, plus it's really big and fugly!

Agreed. I prefer fugly gloves - very Trekkie!

Been known to wear the two fingered pathan gloves too.  Lovely, but not a patch on the muff/heated grip combination.

So here's the grips I fitted to my enfield. They only cost £3.99 including postage, and were probably in one of the shipping containers, Guy Martin was looking at, at Shanghai Port 
Just looked online, and the cheapest I can find, same or similar, are £7.09. you need to put in, '7/8" Motorcycle Electric Hot Heated Molded Grips Handlebar Warmer'
And fitted the best pair of muffs ive ever come across, and picked up from a fellow club member for a tenner. They are marked 'Ryde Shield'

Great info here, thanks timbo.The small, integrated switch is the best design I've seen. And £3.99!!! Might have a punt at £7.09, but only if I can get the same design.

I  know its now the wrong time of year for these, but i was so impressed with these heated grips over the winter, that I've just ordered another three pairs. Current price is £8.88 a pair, including postage, and eBay number is 322307858891

I bought a heated jacket/ glove combo a few months back. The difference from grips is amazing, far more effective as you heat the core and the back of the hand/arm.  Not £4.99 though.
