It's all in a name....
«

Coming home this evening I saw one of the rarest sights in motorcycling!!....A Herd of Water Buffaloes!!
.....
....in other words about 10 immaculate Suzuki GT750's - AKA 'The Water Buffalo' or 'The Kettle' - one after another.. I'm sure many of us are old enough to remember those!!
It got me thinking, any other collective names for groups of particular bikes we can think of? ( mercyless Mickey taking actively encouraged!)
I'll start the ball rolling...how about..
A
Fester
of Plastic Maggots? ( CX500)..off you go...

I have an
MZ ES250/2
, I think they named them
"iron pig"
or
"the TV lamp"
due to its lovely headlamp design

Ok Steve, You started this ball rolling... Here are some collective nouns / phrases .... and yes, tongue is firmly in cheek !!
A "boring normality" of Honda's ... Enough said ...
A "mortgage" of Bimota's ...
An "expedition" of Tenere's ... Just for you Steve ...
A "museum" of Royal Enfields ... Not missing out Tim ...
An "asylum" of CCM's ... You really must be mad ... I was once ..!!!
A "vanity-box" of Harley-Davidson's ... Only if complete with hand-tooled leather tool-roll nailed to front mudguard ( not fender!)
And finally... A "catwalk" of Ducati's ... along with matching male models, dressed in branded one-piece leather cat-suits !!!
Now gentlemen, remember this mickey taking was encouraged... Regards, Tony

Hee hee, some good ones on that last post Tony. You really need to get more
I know the common knick name for the CX was plastic maggot but I once heard someone say it reminded him of a squatting frog. Since that day (many moons ago) that's all I can think of whenever I see one or even hear them mentioned

Always fancied a GT750, once saw an amazing one with a tuned engine in a Harris frame

I think you'll find Tony that the collective name for Harleys is either a
'Sterness or Suffering of Harleys'
I mean, when was the last time you saw a Harley rider look
happy?
....mind you it's hard to tell behind the obligatory shades and beard!

I would like to add;
A pipe-smoker of BMWs (and no I don't)
A chiropractor of sports bikes
A punk of rat bikes
The only self generated term I know of is that Goldwing owners refer to their rallies as wing-dings.
