XBR for sale in Lincolnshire

I wouldn't normally put this in the chatter section but I thought more of you might see it here.

IT'S NOT MINE!!

Went shopping with SWMBO this morning and spotted an XBR on the forecourt of a local Car sales place so stopped on the way back to have a look.

If anyone is interested,

It's a D reg XBR in BlacK (SH?), 25000 showing on the clock, all there including original indicators and seat cover. Doesn't look messed with but just ridden.  Paint and chassis alloy, wheels forks look tidy, there is a little pitting on the legs above the seals so you can cover that with gaiters. Newish Avon Road Rider tyres, Motad 2 into 2 exhaust looks recent - it may be all stainless but the downpipes certainly are. No obvious leaks from the engine but the alloy is rather scruffy - could do with a clean up - but the clutch feels good. Chain and sprockets look about shot.

I'd class it as a fairly original, reasonably tidy  'do'er up'er. Ticket price is £1695 'finance available' so you could probably talk them down a bit for folding money. If it was being sold privately as it stands I'd say it would be worth probably £1000 -1200 ish.

I would stress

I haven't heard it run

I don't know any history

I've never had any dealings with the Garage

So if you are interested Buyer Beware!!

If you are interested it is at

The Foundery Car Sales
101 East Road
Sleaford
Lincolnshire

07939 149796

Again, I'm not vouching for the bike or the Garage, just flagging it up so BUYER BEWARE!

If you are seriously interested I could probably take a couple of photos.

Thats the one!

To be honest it's not in bad nick at all just a little cosmetically challange mostly on the engine. It was posted at £1695 this morning.

Looks nice enough, but why does it appear there's no bolt holding the headlamp on and where's the bar end weight gone?

Evidence of neglect or bargaining points?

Bargaining points, along with the chain & sprockets - it didn't look neglected, just used. I don't think it would be a big job to make it a very nice bike ( providing the engine is ok of course). Must have been fairly well looked after as the new exhaust and tyres must have cost the best part of £500.

Yep, looks a good example. I reckon in the current market she's worth £1500 if the engine is sweet. And where is the headlamp bolt  :-\
