I think I've bought an XT600e
« on: December 03, 2015, 07:23:14 AM »
For some time I have been thinking about replacing my SR400 as although I love it I have knee problems and kick starting it has become increasingly painful.

I answered a classified ad on eBay for an XT600e which of course has an electric start, but up to now haven't heard from the guy. As I agreed to pay the ad price I can't see there being a problem, but I'm not getting too excited yet just in case.

Anyway I will keep you informed.

Nice one.

I loved mine, wish I'd kept it. Hope its a black one, the blue never took my fancy.

Well it looks like I've fallen foul of yet another eBay seller without the integrity or fair-mindedness to make a sale properly.

I sent an email response wednesday saying I'd buy the bike at the advertised price. Didn't hear from the seller. Went on eBay today to find the listing had been ended Thursday. Emailed the seller today to ask what is happening and no reply despite him having my phone number.

So no more eBay for me and more use for my BMW until I can resolve the kickstart/sore knee issue. Maybe he's done me a favour as I do love my SR400, I just wish Yamaha had updated it to electric start.

What a pain ..... why do people bother? Keep looking, you do get decent people on there, just the minority Richard heads spoil it!  >:(

Yes, as I mentioned elsewhere in the rants, I thought I'd bought an exhaust to find out that it had already been sold  >:(
But I,m not put off, as I've bought plenty of bits and pieces on there OK.
