Yeah, saw it. It`s the exact one I`d like, the US model. I`ve been in touch and now waiting for a reply. All I`d like is the original exhaust and the bike, maybe a bit of negotiation?? `tis a bit dear?? This one`s being advertised over here, jap import...very nice but I want a US one .... http://manxads.com/?Title=Honda-GB-500-TT&ListingId=133443

Very low mileage, and a lot of money. I suppose a bike is worth what someone else is prepared to pay for it. But I certainly wont be buying it. Personally I think GBs have gone way over price  :-\

Totally agree with you there! Time was that GB's were £500 over the XBR prices which was fair enough, they were scarce and very pretty. Since they started to appear in the 'classic' bike mags it's got silly - they are regularly put up for £5K+ and seem to sell easily enough but they are just not worth  twice as much as an XBR.  I see some dealers and private sellers are trying to get on the bandwagon and get £3-4k for XBR's but so far the market seems to be resisting.

Some are asking that sort of money, but they don't sell.  Current price people are actually paying seems to be around £1500- £2000 for a really nice original lowish mileage one

Seems a bit more like it, £1500, £2000 but 4grand is just ridiculous. I have approx 4n arf grand in my cafe racer but that has had a complete ground up rebuild, inc a professional engine strip and rebuild a one off full stainless exhaust system and lots of other goodies. If someone offered me 3 n arf to 4 grand I,d take it. Now I know the originality thing plays a part but how can they (sellers/dealers) expect to get that kind of money for a bike that was never that popular back in the day ( maybe that adds to the kudos??) and would probably still need some work putting into it to get it pristine. It,s been said before but I suppose any bike is "worth" what any individual will pay at any given time

Yep, as far as I can see GBs come up for sale at twice the price of a mint XBR, or more even. Are they worth it?, IMHO, no. £1500 - £2000 for a good XBR, maybe over that for a wire wheel one.
