Hi Tim, was just reading on another thread that you,ll be up around "our way" from Thursday eve, dent I believe ??  Just wondered if you fancied meeting up for a coffee on Saturday aft over at devils bridge (Kirkby Lonsdale) if you buy me a bacon butty I,ll let you av a go on my cafe racer LOL.  Let me know if you fancy it and we,ll sort a time to suit. Moto, you probably already know this but if you take the white road off the A683 at Barbon and ride down Barbon Dale to Dent the view is stunning ( mind the sheep!).

Hi Steve, yes we,re very lucky to have the Yorkshire dales on our doorstep. Used to scoot around there quite a bit back in the 80,s when I had my rs250 and then my original XBR. Got bigger more powerfull bikes (as one does) so tended to pick the bigger faster roads, really enjoying finding my way back round some of the smaller B and C category roads in the dales again. A popular route we take is from skipton to pateley bridge then out over the tops to masham, then on to leyburn (stop for brew) then tiny back road to hawes then onto sedburgh then onto "devils bridge" then across into the trough of bowland  through there back home. Good 100 mile round trip I,d say. Oh I hope it,s sunny this weekend. Ps your more than welcome to meet us at devils bridge if your up around this way. Regards Michael

Hi Michael, sorry but Friday and Saturday night we are at the Farmyard do at Helmsley, so sat aft wouldn't suit, as we'll be over that direction by then. Barbondale is a stunning wee road, as is Kingsdale near Dent. If anyone is local and fancies a spin out on Thursday eve we will be at Condor Farm, or more likely, in the Sun Inn

North Yorkshire plod is reported via the local grape vine to be hiding in every bush from York to Whitby with the aim of funding their Christmas do with the proceeds of the farmyard - Helmsley TT.

Cheers, North Yorks police were great, their ex CPO was heavily involved in MAG, and held a senior MAG position, when he retired from the force. Unfortunately one of our group got a £100 speeding fine within three miles of us departing the ferry at Cairnryan
