Just bought a 1981 SR250, to sit alongside the C15 and the GN.
Are they any good ?    pick it up on Sunday,  ....

Congratulations Spooky. I love to hear about peoples new purchases in Thumperland  :D Unfortunately I know nothing about SR250s, but I'm sure its a tidy wee bike  :D

  hi spooky i had a sr 250 for a while a few years back they are the biggest heap of shit going   ;D ha only joking I had no problems grand bike  just the usual oil the things that need oil adjust the things that need adjusting and they keep on going   tommy

I`m expecting it to be similar to a GN250, but pleased it is older than a gn, i will be able to remove the indicators with no mot problems,  i am tempted to change the style somewhat, but knowing me and my good intentions it will just get ridden as it is !

I had one years ago that I turned into a café racer. They go well with a little tuning and handle well although I found the stock front brake rather poor.
