Hello Michael, Met you on Sunday at Devil`s Bridge, my son was on the rs250 and I was on the Ducati TT2. It was really nice to meet you all, and now I have joined the Thumper club. On the motor way on the way home the rs250 was toddling along at 85mph,and my son is 16 stone and a baggy oversuit, so It goes well, I think it has 8 teeth off the rear sprocket and 1 on the front, my son has done all the work on it ,engine tuning paint work etc and he is a joiner not a mechanic, I have given him training since he was 5or 6 The Ducati took me 4years of my spare time to build, I machined every alloy component from solid apart from the engine , yokes, footrests, fuel filler master cylinder, levers, etc etc and the paintwork ( I am a toomaker) that was 25 years ago. My 2 sons have raced it I have raced it, it has been so so reliable, been round the TT loads of times, and most race circuits in england. Has some of Rutter`s 84 engine and clutch parts. It is perfect for modern roads.and I am not getting any younger. I wrote a reply this morning to thank you for your kindwords about our bikes at Devil`s but it did`nt seem to go, so I am trying again.Your XBR is abit tasty too, very nice. Hope this reply gets to you Regards Darrell.
