Cheers
« on: May 31, 2014, 05:55:07 PM »
Just wanted to say cheers to xbally for coming up trumps with a complete engine for my latest project, at what I think was a reasonable cost (certainly compared to fleabay) we have dealt with each other on a couple of occasions over the last six months or so and saved each other the agro of using the dreaded fleabay route. We have managed to do this via this very forum and it would be a shame to see it go the farcical book route as I would defo not use it. Anyway rant over what it now means is I can now "crack on" and hopefully get the bike done and ready to put on the thumper stand in October down at Stafford .  Cheers Martin. Hopefully catch up with you in October    Regards Michael

Glad to have been of help Michael.

We Thumpers need to stick together.

Can i also thank the folks who administer this site and say it has been of great use to me over the years i've been a member.

I too believe it would be a great shame if this Forum were no longer in existence.

While i'm happy to use other methods of communication i have never used nor do i think i would use Facebook or Twitter and the like - i'm too much of an old 4art!

Depends when you get stuck.  Could be a V or a flat twin too.

Now where did I put that jacket ?

Getting bored now.

You were probably 'bored' before you posted being 'bored' so technically you were 're-bored'!

I'll get my thawb (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thawb)

Yes the "new" motor has been stripped and the gear box is in tip top condition , unfortunately one rocker is goosed as is the camshaft . A hot cam is being sourced as we speak/write, the barrel has been bored out to 100mm and a high comp piston will be fitted. Shud push the capacity to around 600cc. I,ll get it dyno,d when it,s all up n running and let you know the results.

589cc by my reckoning. You've been robbed! Lol.

Seriously tho. Can't wait to see the results.
