New in this world and I have a problem SRX 600

Hi all, in the first sorry for my English, my Spanish is better that my English.
I want share a problem with my new srx 600 1XL....some time start at the first some times is not possible start the engine.....i and my mechanic are crazy looking for a solution but no resolve the problem yet.....spark plug new, no problems with the tap of petrol, new battery,But i had read the some time the problem is in the bobbin...its independent that the engine is cool or hot...when "she" want start not start meanwhile i go down to the street and put a gear ..there are some body that can help me....

Hi Pete,

WELCOME, I am sure that somewhere on here is the answer to your problem, is the "bobbin" the ignition coil?, if so is it cracked or damaged anywhere? are the power leads, including the plug lead unchafed and clean and properly connected? is the float bowl drained and refilled with clean petrol? is the air cleaner free flowing and not blocked, is the timing set correctly? is the plug the correct grade? is the cut-out switch ON every time? are there any cracks in the inlet rubber? is there enough battery when starting to both spin the engine and fire the plug under compression?

A few bits to be going on with, someone with more specific SRX 600 knowledge than me will be along soon.

Check the all carburetor too.

Thanks for this welcome. I had bought a new Ignition coil and Spark Plug cap ( in wemoto web page have a lot of products to SRX 600).........I'll try to change this parts and share the results with you.

Yes. My wife's family live in Sabadell and Cardona. I live in Toulouse, on the other side of Pyrenees. I am now in hospital but I forecast to organize a bike trip in Pyrenees. Maybe we will be able to meet with barcelonian SRXs.

There was a time when Eduard ran the website SRX Barcelona, there were a lot of SRX in Catalunya. Ahiva writes sometimes on the forum of the SRX Team (FRench Owner Group, yes I know it makes FROG  ). He lives in Berga, where the roads and corners are beautiful 

Check the all line of the choke system, from handlebar to inside the carburetor. Sometimes the piston in the carb sticks and it breaks the wire.
