A hideous sacrilige to a great name!

But I did quite enjoy someone telling me that he always did think that nortons had made great looking bikes! !   ;D

Now mot'd.

Annoyingly one fork seal is weeping (nay pissing!) But that's ok.

And the suspension is really quite crude. I'd start thinking about a different front end if I could bear putting any more hours in.

Any advice on this ??  Thanks to Steve and steffan for the slider.

I have a question you may be able to help with......

I am struggling to find a link pipe for my MZ Skorpion to suit a 52mm end can and I wondered if you had used one on your build ?

Looks good Andy, I am planning on going down the Satin/Matt black route as well (or possibly a pearlescent white like used on the K100RS

Hi Justin,

Its a cut down version of the hi level renegade link pipe.

(Still the same subframe, exhaust and link pipe, just different bodywork etc from this photo)

Sorry this is not much use!  Not sure what size the entry point of the silencer is but nothing like 52mm.  The DR is 52mm, and its certainly not as big as that.

Let us know what you do when you get a solution.  I wil refit the cut down subframe and possibly high level pipe in time.

(Thinking about 250 or similar front ends just now.  Trick aprilia stuff maybe?!  USD would be bling but probably too dear.  Anyone got any ideas??)

Cheers Steve, am reasonably happy with the outcome, and love riding it.  Its great for London.

Paint was done by a local backstreet guy for not too much money.  Its actually just normal black, put on thick.  HE tried to persuade me to let him polish it, but said no, I'd rather have it a bit flatter if you can make it so.

I brought it back with it on the bike as requested, and he got a nice flat matt (not completely) finish in about an hour with a scotbrite pad. 

He said that it wont be too long before my knees etc polish it again (this happened before when I halfords-paint'ed the tank badly, but it was ok for a rat.  After 5 years or so it got a bit buffed up too.

So the guy gave me a fine scotchbrite pad for when it buffs up, and said "soapy water and scotch" to bring it back.

"Soapy water and scotch" could be a good night in...

JETHROOOOO!!   :P

As for the front end for the DuZorton, Ducati 600 or 750 USD are not too expensive, either from the SS or Monster. Just a thought.  :)

Good to see the small people involvement, here's one of the 'Weeun' and self on the Duke after dragging it out of the shed after the winter 30 years ago!
