Brent ..Shire anti M'cycle
« on: August 24, 2013, 03:36:16 AM »
Just read on the Facebook that Brent Council has placed a motorcycle ban on one of the approaches to the Ace Cafe. Is this true? Can this happen that a council can dictate the use of a national road? Is this a thing of the future.. more and more closures to "targeted groups". This shit could spread.

Surely this can't be true. What legislation exists that would allow for such a targeted piece of discrimination. Is this another MCN scare story?

Being a cynical old twit, I believe that the Ace sits on valuable real estate some barstool parick wants to develop and has the money and power to do this. By making it difficult to get to. It could start losing money and shut down. Normal fare for greedy poeple. Don't worry other avenues will also be scrutinised as there will be an increase in traffic on them giving rise for more scare tactics. How can these morons (both on the bikes and at the council) be stopped.

Every thing that the UK Govt does we seem to copy about 2 years on.

That's a really good point Kurt, it seems to be the way things are done. I blame mr and mrs normal who can't see what is going on and just drift along in their own self-satisfied little bubble. It must be living death to drive a grey car to your grey job and then home to your grey life never stepping outside of safe and normal.

The sooner the morons who have a bike to impress other people piss off and buy cars the better. Maybe when there's just a few of us real bikers left we will be left alone.

That's the trouble, most councillors have a vested interest , usually well hidden behind relatives and friends. Their priorities are first and foremost, themselves, followed by walking their party line, and lastly, doing what is right. Money will be at the bottom of it somewhere. where I live, we have one councillor who is on the environment and planning committee,....... what is his day job? ........He's a property developer!
Those morons with shrivelled privates, who happen to ride bikes purely to impress other morons with shrivelled privates , need to be stamped on hard and often to persuade them to go and massage their egos in another way.

Hi Guys!,
How is this going to be 'enforced'? If the filth are on the scene then no moronic behaviour will be observed, therefore no need for a ban.

Well, IMHO, that will be a goodly proportion of the patrons of the Ace then...

I have seen a lot of riding along that drag that should never be seen in a car park, let alone a public road.  Wheelies, stoppies, burnouts, and quite a lot of broken plastic.  The latter at one stage was a weekly occurrence.

Yes the twats have ruined it again.

However, it should also be noted that car meets (which now predominate the ace) are also very guilty of the same burnouts, drifts etc on the public road with massive un-policed (literally, and metaphorically) crowds.  I haven't seen any car accidents there tho...

Just my 2p....
