Aye smartone,
Had one of these on a Honda Bros for over 55K now, with no problems. Wee screws enable alittle bit of red grease for maintanence every 'blue moon' just to keep things sweet. I know it's not as cheap as Mark's offer, but I know these work. Motrax stockists or as below:

KMH-MPH_convertor_eBay

Overlays are available from may dealers and I have one on the SRX, no bother, stick it on and you soon get used to it.

Ta, Bill.

I use the Gold converter gearboxes  on my SRXs of the sort that Bill supplied the link on ebay to. Absolutely accurate but I suppose you need an accurate speedo to begin with  :-\
Sadly the gold sort (bottom of speedo cable) are no longer readily available but the blues (top of speedo cable) ones are.

As far as i'm aware, they are not a legal requirement..... never had a problem with any of my bike on MOT's etc

We're in the EEC aren't we?.... it's all KPH 'over there' isn't it??

The legal requirement is to have MPH displayed. This can be a dual scale even if KPH is primary (as MZ's have) or a bicycle magnet and electronic set up or a single scale full UK spec. I think you could even argue that permanantly screwing a GPS to the bike would meet the test, but good luck with that when the display doesn't change on the roller tester.

The display needs to be illuminated if you want the full ticket.

As with anything on the MOT it will be interpreted according to how the testers sex life has been during the last 24 hours. Strident horns permitting, overlays or conveter gearboxes should pass.

Or the next 10 minutes. :o

Cwmbran Thunderoad may be the easier option. :-*

Good health, and I'll raise a "Leapfrog" to you and John for putting the Bird on the road!  ;D
