Aye Ken,

I think this is a bit more Thumperish, less bling and solid engineering as in 'steam' and Yorkshire.

Hu ! But where's the bike ?  :-\
Let's face the facts : everything is relative (or should be) and this side-car will roll on the wrong side of the road ... but on the right side for english people, or in the commonwealth. ;)

Too bad because it is not dear.

I think it is a Steib S501... I had one on a RE Meteor in the 70's, hydraulic brake, was a bugger to match up to the crummy old enfielt rod brake, bur when done it worked a treat... and a fabulous outfit it was, had imense fun with it. I notice that the screen is missing and no sign of the hood or tonneau... i woild guess that it'll go for a fair few quid... even if it is a right hander... any bets.... i'm thinking £200 at least

Oh i had forgot it would be on the wrong side. Does the frame change side to side?

If its an S501, then no, the mudguard brackets and the wheel spindle/brake backplate are welded on (look at the pic closely, you can see the mudguard is hinged at the front, can be detached at the rear and swung round to give clearance for removing the wheel. the fittings are ball joints and clamps... makes setting up a doddle.. a well thought out machine... typically german

Didn't  Enfield do a Indian made Steib style copy for the Bullett a few years ago? I remember seeing them at F2 Motorcycles and Charnwoods. A bit small, but quite pretty - though not up to Steib standard.

The only 'chair' that looks similar and i've seen marketed on an enfield is made in the cotswolds, strangely (or not) in the same village that my Father retired to...Blockley... can't remember their name, but featured in one of the classic bike mags a while back.... then of course there was the Jet 80, who made that...watsonian?... not seen one for years

That would be Squire-Watsonian. And the chair in question would one of the Grand Prix Range.
On an Enfield I would imagine it would be the GP Manx !

it'd look good on a big single... circa 1950's-60's
