About as usual, so many classic singles that one race started as soon as the previous race's tail-ender pulled in to the pits. Gut-shaking sound as they started. Ambulances stayed parked. I suppose there were more Manxes ridden there than in all the rest of the world, partially due to the services of the good Mr MacIntosh. Vast array of Velocettes, too. A friend just got back from a long ride on his 350 Velo.

Sounds as though a good time was had by all, even better that the ambulances stayed parked up. It's the "gut shaking" that I enjoy so much and I have a soft spot for Velo's. Manx's are OK, but Summerfields have tweaked and re-made so much, its difficult to find a Manx 'Manx', if you see what I mean.

Yes well, the MacIntosh Manxes may have 6-speed gearboxes on engines that are redlined at 11,000. From a distance they look like the old ones, but . . . .
