Simon came and picked up his new outfit today (just like when Smudge picked up his sidecar... aaaah, memories

).
SMUDGE'S SIDECAR 2006 (what ever happened to that?)

Anyway, back to Simon's bike:
The build had a massive kick in the teeth when the fabricator decided to take nearly two weeks off before christmas without telling anyone first. However, all parts arrived back and looking lovely and even better they all worked the way I'd hoped when I'd specced them.
Simon's first ride was very tentative but you could see that he will be fine. If it had been any other rider I would have insisted on some more practice before he set off for home. However I've ridden and driven with Simon for years and I know he's got a good natural touch and bags of common sense. He reported back a few hours later and I got a feeling that he has already discovered some of the pleasures of charioteering.
There are some pictures of the build and finished chair in an album on my Facebook page
HERE. It's open for all to view. Btw, the other photo albums include some howlers such as me with a desperately sad Bowie 'Ziggy' haircut... enjoy

Cheers
