Look at that brake!!! 5 inches of pure horror!!  Sell it! you can't buy a Voskhod ( let alone sell one) You are cursed with one and you can only get rid of it by using archane rituals involving linklife and TuTu's!!.best not discussed in polite company. To actually try and SELL one to someone probably constitues pre meditated murder!........Oh God , I think I'm having a relapse......

Brakes are for wimps!

Weirdly I've often gone through this in my head.

CZ125
MZ250 Supa 5
Honda CB500/4
Suzuki GS750
Yamaha XS1100 (Unfortunately Rob G managed to lose that one!!)
Yamaha FJ1100
Suzuki T500
Suzuki GSX1100G
Triumph Speed Triple
Honda XL600
Moto Guzzi California 1100i
CCM604 Supermoto
Yamaha TDM900
Yamaha XT600e
Yamaha V Max
Not many for 35 years of riding now I look at it.

The last 3 I still have and enjoy.

Also, 3 X GS500's, 2 X Mopeds, CLR125 and SR125 all for training.

Leading on from the original thread.
Which bike do you most regret selling/losing?

Which ones do I regret giving up?
Suzuki T500P It was a 1 off in OZ  Swapped it for the Matador
OSSA Pioneer 250, the original one with the hard fibreglass tank (Not the 230). Sold it so I could buy furniture when I got married.
Which was the biggest heap of shite?... Vmoto Chinese Scooter Paid $2200 second hand, Traded in on the Silverwing, and happy to only loose $1200 after 9 months

Which ones do I regret giving up?

Pretty much all of them except the Urinal. These days I could get the desert wrecked F650 going in a couple of months with bits from e-bay. 10 years ago the only choice was the dealer. There are days when I really miss the XT600E and Bullet, on others I really do need to run at high speed with a pillion. Unless I have the space and cash to run ten bikes there is always going to be room for change.

Anyone else notice that the changes go in fits and starts? From 1999-2004 I bought and sold over one a year. Since 2004 I've bought two (and one of those was another MZ donor bike). Maybe it's an age thing too, I really fancy a new Tiger then I take a nice long ride on the Bonneville and wonder how much better they can be for the five grand it'd cost. If the Bonneville breaks I ride the brick, consider MOTing an MZ and get the bits in to fix to Triumph. In 2002 I'd have been straight down the BMW dealer telling tales of how Triumph are crap and I need an F800  :-[

Anyone else noticed a very high level of MZ ownership in the replies so far?   As they say, there are 2 types of bike riders, those who take the p155 out of MZ's and those who have owned them. ;D

Because this is a club for riders, not posers.

My MZs have given me more smiles per mile than anything else overall.

At 14 I started.
Suzuki RM80 big wheel (1987 vintage bought for £80 with christmas tips from my paper round)
Suzuki TS125 ER-N
Honda CB250RSA x 2
Yamaha TR1 (inherited :( )
Kawasaki KR1-S (wish I'd not sold)
Honda Transalp 50th Anniversary bought new, very dull.
Suzuki DR600 Djebel (supermoto'd and used as instructor bike, also did my first trackday at Cadwell in 2000)
Yamaha FZR600 Genesis (most miles/shortest time- 4500 in 6 weeks and sold for a profit, was a good bike though. I misread the stamping on the rear sprocket and ended up fitting a 51T replacement instead of a 45T. It wheelied in 3rd at 90 and ran out of puff at 125 but by heck it got there quick.)
Another TR1
Kawasaki GPZ500 (still got)
Triumph Speed Triple (still got, love it)
SR500 (built as a street tracker, sold to a fashionista from London)
DR600 (still got and rebuilding)
ZX-6RF3 bought, restored and sold on.
VTR1000F Firestorm, bought for £1425 with full Honda service history and full Ti Skorpian (before they had to change to Akrapovic) system and dyno bills for £1500, 111.5 RWHP, lot of fun terrible tank range and front end. Sold for £1950 3000 miles later.
CBR1000F winter bike, bought for £150, rattled it's head off at 64,000 miles but kept going.
CBX125F, lovely little DOHC twin carb, twin port single.
MotoGuzzi V11 Scura, number 402 of 600. Lovely bike, broke down every week.
Suzuki Hayabusa LTD in all black. Lovely bike went like fuck. Sold it after being told off a few times.
2008 XT660Z Tenere, still got 24,000 miles later, quite enjoying it.
DR800, now owned by Dave.
Jawa/MZ special thing.
I think that's it...
