Calling all members!!

Hi All!!

Just a silly question to try and get to know some more of you.

What is everyone's bike wish list and has anyone achieved it?


Personally for me it's a late DR800 (totally standard), a traditional styled cafe racer with either honda or yam power, my cagiva compressor single project (provided it works of course) and an early Ducati demo single. (Anyone got next weeks lottery numbers)?

....OK the front brake might be a bit expensive.....

Where did you find that vision of beauty?

Expensive front brake aside, it shouldn't be such a big wallet breaker.

I'm a tad worried about how much attention you'd attract from the old bill with that silencer though. Bet it sounds gorgeous!  ;)

If you click on 'Bikes' or 'Projects' on the top banner you'll get to the gallery containing many other visions of single cylindered lovelyness.. not to mention a few Newkie Brown inspired nightmares! :o

As for the exhaust, something like a shorty Dunstall would look OK, or , as the chopper boys used to do, fit a removeable VW Beetle baffle in the end of the Straight Thru to take the edge of it.

Those VW baffles tend to make them sound a bit flatulent as do the SuperTrapp with a small number of discs. However, thats just me! A Brooklands can or Velo fishtail on a long stroke single with plenty of overlap in the valves is just aural nirvana, both on the throttle and when rolling off!  ;D ;D ;D ;D
