Just like to recomend the new 3D IOM film revolving mainly around Guy Martin  The effect is very good and makes racing look its real speed, its also quiet funny at times and also sad.

Good film and worth watching, they do rather over glorify the gory stuff but Guy Martin is a very witty chap.

And how many good films are there about bikes and racing ?

On any Sunday is about it.  Anybody who thinks Silver Dream Machine was good should have their sense of taste rebooted as its not working.

And re the gory stuff Mark I still feel a bit unwell when I recall you telling me about what happened to your face   :o , quite apart from having seen far too many gory scenes at work.

43!!!

i first saw on any sunday about 3 years ago, and its timeless, ok the technology is old and the riding gear dated, but i doubt messrs rossi, lorenzo, stoner et al, and indeed martin and mcguinness have any more passion and enthusiasm for their sport than any of the guys in this film. its about the passion.

i also got an asian import of the dvd of worlds fastest indian, for the sole reason that it contains the documentry 'offerings to the gods of speed' that is the original burt munroe story, it was shown on tv in nz in the 1980's and the films producer saw it when he was a teenager and thought that if he had the chance he might like to make the film of munroes life story one day. the doc isnt on most of the uk dvds but i knew it was on the southern hemisphere versions of the film. and tbh, its more entertaining than the film itself!
