Another forum issue
« on: May 04, 2011, 11:06:09 AM »
Does anyone else experience this??

When typing text, if it gets much bigger than the box, it seems to "jump", always back to the same point.

Ie. the cursor doesn't "scroll".  You can keep typing, but after every letter you type, it jumps back up immediately to mid-body of the text, so you cannot actually see it!

Annoying!

I tend now to write posts in word, then paste them in....

Am I just being weird?!

Can you see the Thumper Club logo at the top of the page ? If you can see it then try this link instead http://www.thumperclub.com/smf/index.php

Hi Steve

It seems to do it with both the big TC banner, and the link you posted.

It has done it for ages, but I haven't been posting lots, and when I did I just ignored it.  It was Pats post re the piccies which made me write.

Not too busy at work today!!!

As I say, its fine with short posts, but with longer posts, when the scroll bar to the right of the text box starts getting smaller, I tends to display this glitch.

What Browser are you using, and which version ?. This info can usually be found from the Help->About menu item

I get it with IE8 too, but not all the time. It happens on other websites too. I just put it down to another IE peculiarity and ignored it. It doesn't seem to be happening today  :)

Aye, "ME 2",

Vexing, has done it for years now, just drag it about with the scrole bar and/or Word Copy/Paste.

IE8.0.6001!  ::)

Used to do it with IE7, as well.

As for using another browser! Being a lethargic, feardie, luddite, when it comes to software doesn't help ("What if?")  ???.

Thank you for your continued time and support Steve.

My regards, Bill.

I'm not going to be able to fix this one. I would recommend the Google Chrome Browser, www.google.co.uk/chrome much faster than IE and renders things correctly
