Now my XBR is really nice but being tall I did not like the way my knees were bent, uncomfortable on a long ride. So I set about moving them to a more 'British' position. There are two substantial bolts mid way along the lower frame tubes which hold the exhaust pipes. These form the anchors to a new pair of footrest hangers. I use the original footrests and bought on Ebay a gear and brake lever which have been modified.
The machine is comfortable and brake and gear change work as before. If anyone would like to know more, contact me.
