I went out for a bezz on the bandit today. Nice "B" roads up to Kendal and then the M6 for a blast home.
Parked the bike up and came home for a coffee. Just went out 20 minutes ago and some S***For Brains has knocked the bike over from it's sidestand!  I am gutted as it was in "As New" condition.  The clutch lever ball end is off, the left hand indicator is shattered and the little flyscreen is beyond repair. They are easily replaceable bits but the Seat Plastics unit has taken a scrape on the left hand side, below the saddle.  It's not a bad mark but it is noticeable and to replace the unit is over £200-00 plus the VAT.
I don't know if it was a car that knocked it over but the place I left it has a lot of people parking there through the working day and saving on car park charges in town, 1/2 a mile away. Nobody left any note or details.  I suppose it could have been some Chavvy Scrote kicked it over but I think it would be too obviously in view for that to have happened. I did a bit of door knocking and nobody saw anything so I am now out of pocket and the owner of a bike that was mint and is now Not mint!

try asking on www.oldskoolsuzuki.info theyre a useful resource for anything related to air and oil cooled suzuki muscle bikes, and someone in there might well have the parts you need for a fraction of the cost of new stuff.

same thing happened to me with my old vfr. due to this type of activity i went through 4 brake levers last year. I feel your pain.

Managed to find a cheapo clutch lever on the Flea Buy and I know I can get another indicator easily enough.  I've had another look at the bodywork and it looks like a pretty minor scuff really, almost polish it out so it's not as bad as I feared. The Cowl is annoying though, it is shattered and the same one new is over £140-00!  I can live without that I reckon.  Still feel like I've been mugged though!

Cheers John but, sadly there is the old "No Money" situation in The Kennels De Dogbad just now . If I keep the bike I'll sort summat in a few weeks time maybe.
