Well it performed very well indeed apart from a mystery starting problem that I think can be traced back to a dodgy sidestand switch.

I don't know why I was worried riding an 'S' plate 14,000 mile bike. At one point I was clocking Tim at 70mph on his 1928 Indian Scout

Well, a daily ride shouldn't need any prepping for a rally. It's just poor neglected ER5's that were, up until last weekend, languishing in a garden full of dog turds and rubbish that need some prep.
