Fuel tank sealer

With all this talk about ethonol removing the coatings from fuel tanks. I can recomend the product from Frost. You get a complete kit of resin/varnish remover, Metal clean and Tank seal. It is good and nothing will move it. Have some on my hands and I will not move. My Francis Barnett Falcon is done with this and have just sealed my Sunbeam and my FB trials. Looks like silver paint but sets like steel.

I used one of those kits on my CB900 tank. It's a big tank but there was just enough in the tin to cover it. It's brilliant stuff, horrible job though. Be very careful if you're trying to preserve your paintwork.

Hi Steve

Its also the S8 1955  I have had it 18 months now and need to get moving with it but  I have my Classic trials Francis Barnett to complete and then its the Sunbeam. I have the rear drive all done and the gearbox The engine has been bored and the head is done But I want this to be a very good bike and will take my time and get it right. I never had the privilege of taking this to bits so its a major project. Are you a SOF member?

Hi Steve

I did go to the Tan Hill meet last year in my car just to get some pictures, They all keep saying come to the Derbyshire meet but its not the same with no sunbeam. I also met some of them at the 1000 bikes and the Stafford show last year  and had a long chat with Glen at the NEC a couple of years ago.. If you come to either of this events this year come and say hello I am on the Francis Barnett Stand. Just out of intrest where are you in the country.

Just as a side note you're from my old stomping ground Ken, I used to live down Pilgrims Way, just off Pennygate.
Oh and yes, the POR15 stuff from frosts is good.

Just thought I'd chime in to say that one of my projects is an S8 too.
Currently it's in the "waiting for funds" category however ::)
