been doing it like that for years, best to wrap it in cardboard, then in a thick blanket(after putting some gravel and a bit of water inside it) and stuffing it inside the mixer then packing in place with rags.

I've seen it done with the tank mounted on the end of a lathe on slow revolutions.

I had thought of doing that but not to clean it, but to evenly lay the tank sealer.
