After a week off the bike due to weather i have just been out for a thrash!!

I have a winter hack which is non thumper but it's so nice to be back in the saddle. Got a cbr1000f and was just thinking why it felt like it wouldn't go over 100mph?

Why? coz i was only in 4th gear!!   

DOH!!   

Anyone else done the deed recently?

I haven't had bike insurance for nearly 9 months now 

Don't worry though, plans are afoot for a good winter ride.

With another 3" of snow here and still coming down hard I think the bike will be staying safely in the garage!

Ended up going to work on Friday on the SRX as it was the only vehicle I could push to a treated road - haven't had so many people look at me like I'm mental as when i was getting kitted up by the side of the road

Used the XBR all through the current batch of wintery weather back and fore to work. Very cold off nights, low of -8 at one point.
 Had a great run over the A470 to Brecon last Thursday morning in the snow, on the Bonnie. Fabulous. Big grin.
Came home tonight in freezing fog.
Lots of WD40 being used to coat the 500. Bonnie now having a well earned break over the winter and the XBR can take up the slack.
Happy days.

The nearest I got to going out on 2 wheels was taking the SRX and the Bonnie out of the garage on Saturday  "just to hear them running" again. It was lovely just to touch them and feel the "vibes" again..it must have been all of a month since I last went out

Frost is getting worse here so it looks like both the Santa Runs here wont take place

I can see snow on the top of the mountain behind us.... any closer and I'd be looking for a holiday in the southern hemisphere 

When I used to ride all year round in the UK, I can't say I ever rode in the snow or on ice for fun.
