Shall I....?

After my son kindly made the remark in his post re: Stafford Show about what wierd and wonderful project I will next undertake, I have a few bits left from the hybrid project, (I threw 2 cut down SRX frames out (due to all sorts of reasons). Hmmm shall I or shant I?
OK Im throwing down the gauntlet.... little or no money for this project, but I think Id like to "put" a 660 engine into an SRX frame. 2 problems here..... NO engine and NO frame 
Unless someone has an unwanted frame of some description and bits that they no longer require. I will travel to pick them up but Im afraid I wont be able to afford the earth. I know this post should be in "Wanted" column, but Im trying to appeal to as wide an audience as possible. Any takers (or should that be "givers") or any practical suggestions? One cylinder maximum..naturlich

I've got an old frame but it probably needs some attention, free if you want it, Don't ask for v5 as I can't remember when or how I got it.
I will not be offended if you don't want it, I live about 5 minutes fron M1 J31. (sheffield area.)

Why not just get one of these, which were never popular and relatively cheap:



- junk its horrible bodywork and replace it with tank, seat, sidepanels, lights, mudguards etc. from an SRX? Would make a much more stylish offering IMHO.

Im open to further suggestions Boyd, I have thought about the SZR many times but they dont seem to come up for sale when Im actually after one. Anyone got a half finished project they want to offload? My mind is going down all sorts of avenues at the moment.....AND I have just re-carpeted the garage ready for a new project. Itchy hands here lads and lassies

Ian,

After seeing your electric start 400 I would guess that fitting an SZR motor shouldn't pose too many technical problems. The difficulty may be making the radiator e.t.c it look tidy.

Why not a Skorpion, everything SRX ought to be with a 660 mill in place.
