I'm new to the club.
I'm building a special with a DR400 engine for starters and I also have a 350 Velo (Viper).
I want to know if anyone has stripped the balancing gear out of a GN250 and run without it.
I'm expecting the following reaction:-
Don't do it, It will vibrate, Why do it and so on, but I am hoping someone will say they tried it and it was fine.
I am anticipating as a worst possible case scenario I will need to re-balance the conrod/ piston / rebalance the flywheel and it will be OK.
I have heard the GN250's have a weak bottom end, is this well known?
